Terezín Memorial

The formal military fort Terezín was built in the 18th century by emperor Joseph II. It iss inherently connected with the history of the World War II. Probably better known as the "Big Fort" - the town of Terezín itself was used as a transit camp for Jews from the whole Europe. On one side, during a visit of International Red Cross Organization, it was misused for Nazi promotion purposes. On the other side, the "Small Fort" was a cruel prison of Gestapo Reich's secret police. If you are interested in history of World War II. and holocaust you should definitely join us for a visit!
