Prague Zoo
The Prague's ZOO built on top of rocky precipice features has more than 10 kilometres of walks among animals, rare plants and trees. The setting of the zoo is enhanced by lovely views of Prague from the upper areas. In August 2002 the ZOO was seriously damaged during the floods but evacuation of animals and well done reconstruction have restored it. Prague's ZOO offers many services as zoo chairlift, children's corners, restaurants with terraces, education programmes etc.
Stromovka park
Just a few minutes from ZOO is STROMOVKA PARK -in spite of floods in summer 2002 with loss of over 600 trees, the park has largely retained its magnificence. If you have roller skates or a bike (you may use a rented bike) you can spend a day on splendid old royal hunting grounds that new compromise Prague's largest city park.

The surreal exhibitions grounds with popular events for kids are offering bumper cars, old ferries wheel and amusement park. If it's too cold you have an option to go to "Planetarium Praga" with permanent astronomical program and exhibitions.
"Petřín" hill
According to age and wish of your child you can visit some of the buildings on Petřín hill.
Take a short walk to the MIRROR MAZE with the funny mirrors and diorama of the "Battle of Praguers with Swedish in 1648 on Charles Bridge". Just several metres away is the best view point in Prague PETRIN TOWER, a 1/3 scale model of the Eiffel Tower. It has been constructed out of recycled railway tracks. There are 299 steps to the top.
Apart from these attractions, Petřín offers many lovely walks through orchards. It has been the most visited park by famous Czech peeks.

Unique complex of medieval working village and herb, fruit and vegetable gardens is open from April till September. Historic hamlet comes to life in 22 days of special events. Marvel as traditional crafts are skilfully undertaken before your very eyes. Children can try how to make a candle, soap, rope or ceramic pot. There are Three Mazes within organic gardens, each one with its own historic and symbolic message emblemizing the regeneration of the village and district.
